Local seniors Can Bike Down Memory Lane Thanks to BikeAround Technology

“After Karin McAdams’ book group read about the Silk Road, she wanted to see some of the places mentioned. So she settled into a cushioned chair in Villa Ventura’s BikeAround room, entered her destination on a laptop keyboard, grabbed the handlebars of a stationary bike and began pedaling. Then she was off, navigating a road in western China spread out before her on an 8-foot-wide screen.”

Senior Star Donates “Coping Boxes” to Local Alzheimer’s Association

Senior Star will be welcomes associates from its senior living communities across the country for its annual Leadership Forum in Tulsa, Okla. As part of the conference, associates built “coping boxes” that are a resource for caregivers to help soothe those battling dementia and Alzheimer’s. Senior Star donated the Star Boxes to the Tulsa Alzheimer’s Association for use in their caregiver support groups.
